Warped perceptions of oneself
My photography is inspired by the psychology that underpins human interactions. With aspirations of becoming a psychologist, I'm deeply attuned to the intricate emotions and stories that shape our lives. This lens allows me to capture the nuances of expressions, the unspoken dialogues, and the fleeting moments that reflect the human experience. As an artist, I consider my photography a dialogue. It's an invitation for viewers to step into my shoes, see the world as I see it, and feel the emotions that stir within me. Through deliberate framing, use of light, and careful subject selection, I aim to transport viewers into the heart of each captured scene. Every click of the shutter is a piece of my narrative, an attempt to share my unique viewpoint and experiences with the world.
In my portfolio, "Warped Perceptions of Oneself," I chose to capture images of my mother as a means of representing myself. Her intimate understanding of me surpasses even my self-knowledge, making her the ideal subject for this exploration of self-perception.
